What does anyone think of a pair of scissor jacks on the rear of my 31foot class C for leveling and stabilizing. I'm thinking of the 24" BAL model

I have two in the rear and one in the front. They do a fair job of stabilizing but don't provide more than a few inches of leveling. Any more than that requires you pull out the blocks.

Same with my BAL QTG system. Makes a great stabilizer but cannot be used for leveling much. QTG is real fast to engage. Scissor jacks are a lot cheaper though.

I have them on my 31' and they work great although I must admit, when the wife and I travel alone, I don't bother with them. You will notice some movement mostly at night but we don't care.

I have them front & rear. If you're only a few inches out of level, sure beats using the blocks

When we had our 31' class C, I bolted 2 scissor jacks on the rear and I carried 2 more in a storage bay. I would first level the coach using Lynx Levelers if needed and then crank down the rear scissor jacks to be used as stabilizers. The 2 extra ones would be placed under the frame on each side, one under the entry door and the other opposite to it. It stopped most of the movement and made the coach more stable. It was most noticeable when someone entered or left the coach, no more of that annoying rocking motion!

I have regular 5000 lb rated scissor jacks on my class C and can do a fair amount of leveling. They are mounted to the frame just behind the wheels. I use an inexpensive impact wrench with 1/2 extension to raise the mh. Works pretty good for me.

hasheel - As some have mentioned, do not use scissor jacks to level your motorhome. A small amount (say 1-2") might work, rather use them for stabilizing. The reason being you could bend or twist the frame unless you place them like "Leewhiz" has done. I would try getting the jack as close to the point where the springs meet the frame.
