Personally, I'd go with a grill that has a cover that can be closed while cooking...as it is more efficient. After years of using cheap grills, I finally got a Weber Baby Q last year, and it is just a great little grill. Although it costs a little more, the quality will result in it lasting longer and be cheaper in the long run than buying cheaper grills. I also went with a Weber after using a $300 Weber grill at home for about 6 years or so...I have replaced the flavorizer bars, and I'm due for some new grates, but the Weber grills are just so well designed for longevity and cooking performance.

I have a Coleman Roadtrip and a Weber Q.
No comparison on any level... the Q is far superior.

It does look like a slick product and even has grill, griddle & stovetop attachment for pots. With a top I wouldn't have to find & haul something to use on one of the ones I was asking about. I can't find the physical dimensions when in traveling mode. And at twice the cost of the ones I asked about I'm not sure I'd use it enough.
The review I read indicated the drip pan is fairly large and likely to be problematic to clean in a small RV sink. I'm not too sure I'd be wanting to get the grease in my plastic RV sink & waste tank but was the review correct regarding this?

Regarding the Weber Q grills - I see a lot of those but there are a few drawbacks over what I'm trying to accomplish; things like cost & size. Even the Baby Q is longer than the ones I asked about and it would certainly be taller than either of them and length & height is what I'm trying to get away from because I currently have very limited storage space, particularly height, remaining in my RV.
The write-up on the Weber web site indicates that they use the 14.1 oz. long, slim propane torch bottles. If they did not take the standard short, fat, 16.4 oz. bottles then I'm definately not interested. I've got a good supply of these and they would outlast me if used just for emergency lighting during power outages.

I've used the short fat propane bottles with no problem....just remove one end of the support wire, open it up a bit, and the regular propane bottle will be usable. But, I decided to get a 5 lb. propane tank and adapter hose, and I really like it. The 5 lb. tank is small, easy to carry and lasts a long time. With the adapter hose, I could easily hook it up to one of my trailer's tanks if I needed to. If I were to use the small propane tanks all the time, I'd probably rig up a better support ring...as the ring does prevent putting extra weight on the fitting at the regulator.
But, I can understand your need for something more compact....I just haven't seen anything out there to compare with the Weber. And, I looked at a lot of grills.

We also have a Coleman Roadtrip and we use it often. With both the grill plates and the griddle tops it is very convenient.
While it will use those small propane bottles, we carry a small refillable tank. It's about a 3 minute set-up and take down.
As to size, I know that it fits in it's travel case nicely and the motorhome's slide-out tray.

I found the RoadTrip on sale at Camping World for less than $150 so I went and got it last night. Boy; that thing is huge! Much bigger than I thought it would be. I hope it will fit in the storage space I had in mind. I don't think I'll need to get the other half of the grill grate just for the two of us but I may anyway so I can have two different temperatures. Now to find some place to order that, the stove ring and the duffle to put it in.
