Explain to the DW that it is a very bad time to sell an RV. The price of fuel has driven down the value of the big fuel eating hog. After you retire go on the road and spend some time in the MH, she will get to love it.
Our son is currently in the Army, a little further south than where you served. Thanks for your service and congratulations.
Don't sell it. Go travel in it and enjoy life! And that you for serving for our Country! My Cub Scout pack is involved in the adopt a soldier program. The boys just love writing letters to the men and women who serve. God bless and welcome home!

Congrats on upcoming retirement, and thanks for serving.
If the BOTH of you do not really enjoy the RV lifestyle, then you may as well let someone else make good use of it. If you BOTH enjoy it and still plan on some type of work, then try to keep it for vacations and get-a-ways. Although having it sit long periods is not advisable to keeping it kept up, you can still maintain it so it will be ready to go. Things like keeping the tires covered to prevent sun damage, cracking, starting the engine and generator monthly and running that A/C's, water heater, furnace, etc monthly will help to keep it ready to go. Also keeping mice and critters out, ( I use electronic thingyies that plug into the 110 vac, they work great). Stuff like that.
If you decide to offload it, don't become discouraged if it does not move real quick. I have heard that people that advertise on RV trader have pretty decent results.
Good Luck in retirement, and if you keep it, there is a great military campground website that keeps you well informed as to all the info about military rv parks and campgrounds. I can furnish the link if you want it.

having 2 sons and a son in law in the service, i would like to thank you for your service to each and every one us.
congrats on retiring!!!
what's the deal with wanting to sell the unit now that you will have the time to enjoy it soooo much more? maybe she is just hedging the bet to buy a bigger/better one?
when you get settled in, give a shout...we are only a few hours away.
Ax5, as others have said, thank you for your service.
We own a lot just east of Ocala in an RV resort, and have a park model on it. That said, there are so many wonderful places here in central Florida to visit, that even with gas prices as they are now, a drive of just a couple of hours will give you a sense of our great country.
Perhaps your wife is simply tired of packing up and moving from place to place (boy can I relate to that). I'd ask her why she feels as she does, talk about it, then figure out a good solution for both of you. Her feelings need to be considered also.
First of all, THANK.
Why does you wife want to sell your MH?
Here is where you both must Set down and come to a agreement.
Is keeping it or selling it going to affect your marriage?
Only you two can solve this problem. Each couple couple is different.
Good luck on the outcome.
Again, THANKS
From one retired GI to a soon to be, congratulations. I would suggest you apply for any VA disability benefits prior to retirement, it quickens the process if you do. Enjoy the good life, you earned it!
