We want to get a XM Radio for my commuter car but also have it available to use in our TT. I looked and some of the radios say "plug and play" but then when you look at the items that are included they list an antenna. I just want to be able to plug it in to the Aux jack on the stereo in the car and then use a docking station or something in the TT (like the Ipod). Is there something out there like this? Do we have to run the antenna in the car and TT? Thanks.

You have to have an antenna. Just buy an extra car kit and use the same XM radio for both.

We bought suruis for our 2 vehicles and a boombox type dock station for the TT. It came with a portable clip on antenna we hang up when we camp. Or we leave the trucks Sirius in the truck, turn it on and sink up the TT radio to the same FM station and use it that way. Hope this helps

I just let my sirius subscription lapse since evidently part of the agreement to the merger is that they will have to offer an alacarte option which supposedly will require a different receiver. I would wait till the situation settles down myself before buying.

Most of the current Sirius radio's are "guaranteed" to work after the merger is complete.

I have XM. I use it in my commuter car, which is also my toad. I just put another antenna in the Moho, and use a belkin boombox outside of my toad.

This is true, however, you will need a new generation radio to get the A La Carte programming.

Thanks for the responses. We just bought a new Silverado that has XM so that is the carrier we will use. The boombox idea is just what I was looking for.
