I have always enjoyed the Open Road forums - However, this new header takes up more than half of my computer screen!!! I can understand attempting to remodel the website, but I don't think this is an improvement from a user's perspective. Sorry!

There is no need to apologize for expressing your opinion about the fourm.

Which portal are you using (RV.Net, Woodalls, Good Sams, etc.)?

Are you saying that you have seen a change in that portal over the last couple of days? (Moderators don't see the same page layout that members see, so we can't monitor day-to-day changes.)

Yes is is defiantly different. The header is about 2 1/2 inches down across the whole screen. It has big tabs on it for Home, community, travel tools, rv central, store, my stuff. It is also loading very slow. I come in threw Good sams. I just noticed the change this afternoon. It was normal this morning.

The Good Sam site is being redesigned (note 'Beta' at the top of the page.) Although we at the forum have seen part of the Beta work while trying to work through the My Profile problems it created and have voiced some concerns, we don't really have a say in what the folks at Good Sam do. You, or course, are free to use one of the other portals

I really like it. Now if they can only work out the bugs.

Tom, yes it's the Good Sam's portal. The heading says Good Sam's Beta and has several "Page" choices at the top. Didn't realize there were different accesses - with the exception of the RV Net.

I feel so ignorant! Apparently the headers are all pretty much the same size! Guess there was so much more going on in the Good Sams that it appeared to take up more space! YIKES, am I getting old or what? Guess I like the less dramatic approach of RV Net! Thanks for the help, Tom.

I just changed from the Good Sam portal to RV.NET because I didn't like the changes. Now I'm stuck with a blue motif when I preferred the red... can't have it all! I do hope the RV.NET portal does not change.

To everyone that is switching to the RV.Net portal:

The RV.Net portal is the one with the greatest overhead (for example, it handles all of the email) and it shows the most down time when the forums are have a problem.

Except that there are some moderating functions that require me to use RV.Net, I tend to use Trailer Life.
