Love the Roto-choks, used them on the Rage'n and now on the Mountaineer. First thing on and last thing off. I especially like the feeling that the landing gear isn't being abused during during hook up and unhooking.

I use the cheap plastic ones but had something happen last week that makes me want to rethink this. I lowered the front jacks and hitched up the truck. Once I lifted the front jacks off the ground the truck and fiver rolled backward over the top of the plastic wheel chock (about 2"), crushing it in the process. I could only chock one side since the opposite side had 1.5" blocks to level the unit side to side. I now think I should use at least two sets of chocks to share the load. I was amazed how it crushed the chock and how much movement there was with the truck in park. I know I should have applied the park brake also but man it makes you respect the forces involved.

Mine are homemade out of chunks of 4x4rs cut at a taper top and bottom. A threaded rod from Home Depot, wing nuts, standard nuts, and backing plates made out of 4x4 power box lids complete the design. They work well and must look good as my first pair were stolen when the rig was in storage.

I use pieces of scrap fencepost wood. Total cost to me $0.
You shouldn't be able to feel movement in your trailer if you know how to properly tighten down the stabilizer jacks.

Another vote for Deluxe Tire Locking Chocks from CW. We only use them on one side and have never rolled a millimeter (But then, we ain't playin' basketball inside, either).

Four pieces of 4" landscape timber, each about a foot long has served me well for many years as wheel chocks. I have the BAL things for stabilizing, but only use them when parked long term snowbirding.
