I want to install a LCD TV in our 5ver. Going to use a articulating wall mount. My concern is ,does the vibrations , bumps and bangs while traveling down the road damage these type of tvs?
Thank you Ron

There are tons of them out there, go for it. No different than any other TV.
Extreme cold can be an issue.

there was another thread somewhere that said yes. So a search for it. We did not buy one because the thread said the vibes shorten the life of the LCD to about 5 years.

Recently installed an LCD TV in the bedroom. Thought about the identical same issue you are, I elected to remove the TV each time we travel. It's very simple to remove just a center bolt that connects the main TV mount to the arm. Pack it away under the dinette bench and no worries.

LCD TV's are the best type to use for RV's. My 19" 720p HD television rides on the carpet under the dinette. I thought about using a mount, but settled on putting the tv on the dinette table. The tv is at eye-level, and much easier to watch, from either the couch, or dinette itself. I have been using it this way for two years now.

I leave mine mounted. If I were going to take it down while traveling, I would put it on the bed or the couch. I don't see where placing it on the floor or any hard surface will protect against vibrations. What would the difference between the wall and the floor be?
If not comfortable, put it on the bed while going down the road. JMHO

Laptops use LCD screens and they take a beating. There is no problem with an LCD in the RV as long as it is secure. The temp limit is like -40 F.

My camper came with the little 15 inch LCD TV mounted on the wall. I added a 26 inch LCD TV on an articulated wall mount about 6 months ago and love being able to see the TV now! I've had no problems with it and it's even been off roading in some pretty rough areas. Since it is a single arm wall mount I do tie the TV to the wall using some rope and a couple eye hooks. This keeps it from swinging around and hitting things and helps take some of the weight off the swing arm when traveling. So far so good! I did buy a cheap TV just in case it couldn't take it, I didn't want to buy a really expensive set in case it failed. But so far everything has worked out great with no problems at all.

Here is an example of an LCD TV mounted on an articulated mount in the bedroom of our Overland. We just did 5000 miles to Las Vegas and back and if it still works after the PA turnpike and I-70 in Indiana, it's good forever......
