That's what brought this all about. Buying a new TV is like buying work. New TV is 5" higher, so axle flip. While tires off, rebuild brakes, repack bearings, re-bush and new hardware. Transfer hitch from old TV to new unit. Trailer is taller now, so build platform for bottom of steps(may change steps). Congrats to the few who read the post before replying, and saw the humour intended. The trailer was moved with the OLD TV before the hitch was set up in the new truck. The 78 is a single wheel F-350, that pulled this unit with ease, with about a 2" squat under load. I finally got it paid off, and felt uncomfortable without a truck payment. Humour Alert

Built Ford Tough! "pulled this unit with ease" My dad has a 1986 Ford F-350 CC dually with the 6.9 diesel that he pulled a 35' fifth wheel around the southeast with ease. He still has the truck with only 75k on the clock.

We did that once! Our house was paid off so we took out a home equity loan for 10 years and used the money to buy a SUV. In the mean time we added to our credit line , but overall in the long run we must have paid for that SUV for ever!!! Remember it's the American way.
Well there you go...Just when you get everything leveled, along comes something else. Now you gotta go out and get the axles flipped on your old TV. Then you will obviously need longer ramps for mower and 4-wheeler...After that you are going to have to get taller kids, taller dogs, It just never ends.
Unfortunately, that truely is the American way. I feel bad for all those who took a second mortgage to buy an expensive, depreciating asset and are now having trouble paying for it in this new 'economy'. I forget what credit card company it was I saw running a tv ad recently with a theme song that blared out 'I want it ALL, I want it NOW!'. If we would all learn to live more within our means and save for our purchases instead of charging them, our country would be so much stronger.
