I can't figure out how to get a search to cooperate with me. I know I've read the answers to my question here before, but at the time I didn't have an S&S. It must have slipped from my brain as useless knowledge.

Well, I finally own a fine example of one of those funny windowed campers and want to shine them up. I have some Meguire's Clear Plastic Polish, but it hasn't stopped raining to give it a shot. What other or better tricks have any fellow S&S owners used to bring those windows back to new again (if that's possible)?

It wont hurt to polish them wet. I used to work with plexiglass and polycarbonate. We often wet the surface during polishing using automotive paint polish and cleaner.

Check this thread I started last week.

I was going to try McGuire's #1 but I couldn't find it in-house anywhere but I think I'll try the other product people suggested here.

FWIW, I love those windows.......

Yeah, I love the windows too now. I guess they stopped them last year. Thanks for the link, I'll give one or all of them a try. Did you ever use the Plexus?

BTW, I used to spen a lot of time in Golden. Beautiful town and I figured out how to skip the majority of the Coors tour and get right to the end:-)

Novus #3 for deeper scratches, Then Novus #2 for surface scratches, and finally Novus #1 for the final shine. Search for a Novus dealer in your area (I know of one, but can't say on this forum) and you will get your answers. (I work with acrylic (plexiglass) daily)... If the scratches are too deep, all you will get is shiny deep scratches... But the novus product works best. Steel wool? try it on your car finish and see what happens...

I'll add a strong vote for the bubble windows as well ... too bad they quit making 'em that way. We've slept in ours at 20 below and it's totally comfortable. Can't beat waking up to 270 degrees of beautiful views!

I haven't ordered or searched for the Plexus or Novus yet but I will. Let me know if you end up ordering the stuff online and find a vendor for it. I did finally get all my caulking and roof maintenance done so the windows are the final step before putting it up for sale. The weather changed on Sunday Monday evening and we have had 8" of snow since then and it's been pretty cold.....I'll hopefully get to it soon as I need to be done with the old camper.

Doug, the owner of S&S told me he just got tired of selling the windows instead of the camper....and while I can understand it, it's too bad it isn't still an option.

At Colorado School of Mines they refer to that as "Coors Lab" and at the brewery they got tired of all the disruptions from people taking the tour just to get the beer....so they implemented the "short tour" where you skip it and go to the tasting room. Too bad they quit giving out unlimited free beer...they dropped it to two I think.

Yes, Coors Lab is what its called. The school is why I was there a lot. I had a long distance romance for many years with one of its students. I should have left her there as we got along beautifully with 1500 miles separating us:-) The last time I was there you were limited to two, but you could leave and come back. Am I strange, or does anyone else love that brewery smell?

I haven't tried anything yet, but I think I am going to make a run at the windows with the Meguire's polish today. It is what I have in the garage.
