Good info. Does this mean that as we travel, we would constantly have to reprogram the radio, or will it search for stations until you get to a location that you will be for awhile?

KG,
Most radios have a general monitor setting that will trigger on alerts with no regard to location, but only one I have seen auto rescans for a new station when the current station fades. When on the move I use the setting that triggers on all alerts and hit the scan button every half hour or so, or when the weather looks bad around us.

There are not yet S.A.M.E. radios that are ideally suited to the needs of Rvers, but I'd rather make do than not have the information.

That sounds like I should be able to make something like that work. I have my eye on one on ebay. Thanks for all your help. Gil

Gil,
Happy to help out. I've learned lots about Weather Radios as part of getting a California Girl to visit the Midwest in tornado weather, earthquakes don't bother her, but tornadoes scare the **** out of her!

Just won the bid on a Midland WR-100. Got it for $27.75 with the shipping. I am anxious to get it and see how it works. Thanks again, Gil
