I BELIVE THE 35 LBS FOR THE WEBER TO BE TRUE, IT'S HEAVY . the grate is heavier than the rest of the grill! someone mentioned it comes with a stand and the weber does not, that might be the difference, but you can purchase a folding stand from weber though.

We got the Webber Baby Q because most of the people we camped with had one. We use to have a charcoal grill, but the DH got tired of waiting for the charcoal to get ready, while everyone was eating.

We close the lid when cooking and don't see this as a problem.

We don't clean it every time we use it. When it gets real dirty, the DH takes the grill grate off and I soak it in a solution of hot water and dishwasher detergent for about 30 minutes and then brush it all off with a wire brush.

The DH really likes that the Baby Q shelves fold in and rest under the lid when it's being stored. It doesn't seem to take up any more room them our old charcoal grill. We also have the folding stand for the grill and it folds pretty flat as well.

At Camping World, we bought a small propane bottle, just for the Baby Q and also a propane tree that allows us to connect a propane lantern and the grill together.

Some have noted that the lid on the Roadtrip is low, which might be a hinderence for some bulky cuts. I have the Baby Q and I prefer the bare cast iron grill to a porcelain coated one.

Thanks for all the replies!

Sounds like the Webers might be a bit heavier than the equivalent Coleman. I think we'll go out and kick the tires on these over Memorial Day weekend - maybe we'll get lucky and hit some sales!

Thanks again

Being from Jersey I know you have a Kohls near you, the have the Baby Q for $139. If you have a Kohls credit card and their 30% off coup, brings price to around $98. Seems like a quality grill. Im going back today to get one.

I just weighed my deck Weber Q and it was 21 pounds with the propane bottle attached. We have two Q's, they have been great.
