Yes me too. Been retired for 15 years but don't think of the old days they are history I think of all the people that need me now and all the ones that love me now.
Grandpa when are you coming to see me, lets go to the mall, take me fishing,
take me camping. ect ect.
I got a bunch of grand kids that I taught a lot of things that they now carry through life and always remember that grandpa showed me how to do that.
You are just in another chapter of life. Nothing is lost; much is gained. You have wisdom and experience, and that will not be taken away. But I hope you share it because you will make a difference in someone's life -- and not just your's. Next time you see someone don't pass them up; just say, hello in there. Enjoy the ride!
One of my favorite John Prine songs! Bette Midler does a nice job with it, as well...a wonderful message.

I think you are right.
To me, there is little difference in these posts by men and the feelings many women have when our families are grown, our "job" has ended, and we must also move on.
To those who miss their jobs, I think that speaks highly of the job you had...one that you could enjoy for all those years. Here again, not that different from raising that family.
