There are plenty of half tons on the market now that can pull that kind of weight. I pull similar to that with my nissan. Since new on 07 been to the smokies, Yellowstone, and the Tetons. Tows like a champ. 45000 trouble free miles, but it looks like I only have 55000 left on the engine acording to someone.

You josh...Titans have buckets of torque and power. That truck will still be fine when you are tired of owning it!

Will you be the first to the top of the hill? Nope. But you should get there.

Just remember... when your climbing that 6-7% grade and you look behind you feel like your holding everyone up.... it's because you are.

I don't have a problem with people pulling at max capacity but for god's sake use the turnouts and get out of the way.....

Glad to hear you made the trip OK. Sounds like your hitch may need some attention. I was worried about my rig and the mountains out west, but after our trip, I`d have to say I`m completely satisfied with my truck`s performance. Would more power be welcome? Obviously! Who doesn`t like power? But it does fine. Get your numbers nailed down and don`t overload it and only you can decide if you want to keep towing with it. I saw a LOT of overkill on our trip. Folks towing 20-28' with 3/4 and 1 tons, sometimes duallies. Gimme a break! If you can afford it, more power to you, but I fail to see the need to go big as long as you`re within your numbers. I run at max on combined and I didn`t white knuckle anything, anytime. Up or down hill. (except that HUGE dip in the road around Chicago where I thought surely the trailer would come uncoupled) We had a very stress-free ride the whole trip.
