My CRV is a 2002 and I put the solinoid under the drivers seat at about a 45 degree angle, ran the cable under the left edge of the carpet and then under the carpet over to the center so it ligned up with the brake pedal. I mounted the solinoid on a piece of plywood, slid it in place and then fastened the plywood to the floor.

Under the front drivers seat. Ran the brake wire under the Carpet. The wires are in the black door channel on the driver side along the floor.

Cheers

I just finished installing the US Gear brake on our 2006 CR-V. I mounted the solenoid on the passenger firewall and routed the cable under the heater ducts to the driver side. The solenoid is covered by the passenger carpet and you don't even see it.
