So if I have a 110 gallon fuel transfer tank bolted to the floor of my toyhualer trailer, that I pull with my diesel pusher motorhome, that has a 100 gallon fuel tank, and I fill both tanks on the way back from El Golfo, will I get through???

If I had to make a guess, they will not question your motorhome. BUT I bet they will give you a hard time about the tank bolted to the floor of your toyhauler. The supervisor I talked to said they will drain the tank of anything they are not convinced is for personal use. He also said that even means if someone filled a smaller tank and was back the next day for a refill. It is not just size, but their impression of usage. They also track how many times and how often you cross. They knew last year when I crossed for the first time with the new/used truck. The agent made a remark, "Oh, this is the first time you have crossed with this vehicle". Good luck!

Then I'll have to bolt it to the truck bed. I only make about 4 trips a year but I might have to go once a month with the pick-up to get enough to make a trip in the motorhome. Can't we get oil from Iraq?

Don't let this get too political or Mod. with shut it down. We need to keep sharing the current situation at the border around fuel.

I don't consider it political since I have personally done both sides of what I wrote. It was however a comment which was off subject for which I humbly apologize.

Sorry hypoxia. Mod has jumped me enough times it must be finally sinking in. I've even had private emails explaining my evil deeds. Enjoy!

Lukeville agent told me 119 gal max which includes what is in the main tank. Don't ask, don't tell. I have never been asked how much I had.

Romoc, where do you get your diesel? I may be in the Nogales area for fuel. Thanks.

Is this totally insane or what? We are at war with the oil companies! Bush should come on the TV and encourage everyone to fill up in Mexico. When I go to visit my daughter at NMSU I will go to Juarez and put 130 gal in the coach and 100 gal in the toad aux tank and I don’t care what they say at the border.
