The Prius cost 7 cents a mile to drive at todays fuel cost, 1/3RD of what it cost to run the average gasoline auto. ANYONE PULLING IT BEHIND THEIR RIGS? On all fours?

"1/3RD of what it cost to run the average gasoline auto"

And what is the average auto they got that # from??? EVERY similar sized 4 cylinder vehicle is at least 2/3 or better efficient to any Prius. And a diesel VW gets better every day fuel economy than the over hyped Prius.

Yep, have a friend with a 5 year old VW tdi, it gets about 52-54 average when on the highway from WA to Idaho. Around town it's only in the mid-low 40's though. Still way better than my Jeeps 14.2 overall!!

I would hope not on all 4's, Toyota would freak out and cancel your warranty in a minute! Toyota is quite adamant (call them yourself, I did!) about the dire consequences of towing your poor little Prius! It is treated like a form of blasphemy! When the Toyota Customer service lady was explaining why you couldn't tow the Prius, I swear I heard the sound of thunder and crack of lightening in the background!

The Prius is the #1, I will say it again #1 most fuel efficient vehicle on the market today. Period. Just look it up! anywhere. I know what it does, I drive it everyday and until you do the same you have no basis for your comments. I get 51mpg on the Hwy and 53mpg in town and this is a hilly town.

Another post from the OP who insists on making up figures that are not supported by references. The OP insists on just making up stuff and then posting it here. Please take it with more than a grain of salt.

I think the OP is only refering to mpg not including total investment.

who cares? it's still a TOYota......and if we'd pump some of our own oil, we wouldn't give a c*** about MPG
