I am feeling really spoiled right now after reading the depression link. We do live like Kings and Queens compared to most of the rest of the world. I need to remember to count my blessings. Just in case it all goes bad thought, I'm keeping my camper in case I have to live in it!~

Hmmm, I beg to disagree with this statement. People that look on the bright side, do know what's going on. They are very aware of reality, but choose to look past the negatives and focus on the positives. I focus on the positives. The media is so full of doom and gloom, and if you focus only on that, you can become quite depressed.

May we all have safe travels.

People, human beings, and other creatures, typically respond to changes in their environment. By comparison to last year this time, lots of things have changed.

Lots of the changes are negative, some are not so.

Truer words have never been spoken..............Well said. If everyone tries to keep ignoring problems, most of the time they get worse

Yes ma'am, I believe it. However, there might be matters of degree to consider. If you were being followed by a growling pit bull terrier, would you stop and bend over to smell the rose? If you did, and the growling pit bull terrier then exercised his right to chomp that which was most prominent in his view, would you keep on sniffing or would your focus change to that which was most salient?

Pollyanna remained crippled you know.

If the pit bull was inside his fence.. or on his chain and I was out of reach.. sure I would smell the roses.. and pick one and throw it to that baby.

Guess it depends on your perspective.. don't it

(and if my dog is bigger or badder than your dog.... wait.. that's a whole nuther story)

Just because you are not in love with the WOE is ME or even worse theDOOM and GLOOMERS crowd is no way indicative of whether or not you are connected to reality. All it really means is that we who are not connected to those groups have a more positive outlook on life. What a tragedy in life it must be, to go through one's life, always expecting the worse. The only advantage to that, that I can see, is that you probably have already selected your casket. For some, I guess that is something positive to look forward to.

I disagree with you, too, Milt.

Your premise is based on the assumption that the pit bull is real in the first place, and not just a delusion in itself.

If you plan on the worst happening in any given situation then you are prepared and will will do what is needed.
