Who voted, the mayor of Charlotte and his assistant? It is a great city to visit but I don't see how people could prefer to live there. Of course that's just my opinion and I could be wrong.

About 9 years ago, I was asked to come up there and interview for a job, flying the Interstate Batteries Lear Jet. One of the job requirements was to live there in Charlotte. I already had a good job.
And now, I live in the second-place city.......

Their top ten:

Charlotte, N.C.
San Antonio, Texas
Chattanooga, Tenn.
Greenville, S.C.
Tulsa, Okla.
Stevens Point, Wis.
Asheville, N.C.
Albuquerque, N.M.
Huntsville, Ala.
Seattle, Wash.

In many cases they are mid sized cities, interesting.

I've visited many of them (Charlotte, San Antonio, Greenville, Asheville, Albuquerque & Seattle) and live very close to one of them (#5), I believe we chose well even if Tulsa wasn't on the list.... but it is and I agree!

It clearly was a biased poll. There wasn't a single town in Mo. in the top 3.

When I get to heaven,
I shall see three wonders there.
The first wonder will be to see
many there whom I did not expect to see.
the second wonder will be to miss
many people who I did expect to see.
and the third and greatest of all
will be to find myself there.

I simply don't understand why Bennett, Colorado is not on the list.

Any body know why nearly all these top ten cities are in the South,is it because of the weather or is it some other reason.Just curious.
