I downloaded the PowerPoint viewer 2007. I opened "all programs" and double clicked the PP. It did launch and asked for the file name that I wanted to open. I typed in the name of the file that was given in the email attachment but that didn't work. It said PP was unable to find the file. What do I need to do?

Did you save the attachment in the email as a file on your system?

You have to save it somewhere to get it out of the email file. Then Viewer will be able to open it.

There is a way to open it from email but I cannot find the info on my puter. (Probably cause I put it where I would remember where it was ) I learned about it from THIS FORUM. Do a search. If I can find the info I will post it.

Save the file to your hard drive then open or open the email and double click the attachment and it will open the file in power point.

THIS LINK explains how to set your puter up for PPS to open directly from OE. I did it to mine and then friends had me do theirs. It's a lot easier than downloading the PPS file to your hard drive and opening the file from there.
