I like Wix for almos everything I own, except my Diesel. There I prefer Donaldson. A good frien of mine a certified Cat tech told me as soon as warranty runs out they switch their Cat engines to Donaldson. Almost every Mack dealer has them.

Wix is considered a high quality product but like everyone else here most of us are jsut commenting based on opinions instead of data. I do not have a scientific report that I can cite to show data to support my opinion nor can anyone else.

We just use them and they work so we assume they are ok. Mechanics opinions are usually worth more than consumers but they too dont see real test data on filter efficiencies, first pass particle size etc etc.

Personally in my Cummins motorhome and my diesel truck I use fleetguard and order them online to save some money.

WIX is the official oil filter of NASCAR. You know if they use them on their cars, they've got to be good.
Seriously, they are a quality filter. Better than Wal Mart, Fram & other generics.
As mentioned, Donaldson are considered upper tier filters, also.

Wix is good. The identical filter is sold as the NAPA-Gold filter.

I'm free of prostate cancer for 5 years now.
All men over age 50 should get an annual PSA blood test. Mine had a low reading, but the yearly jump was significant. The biopsy showed cancer just entering the aggressive stage. Dr. Hackenslash removed it.

I'm with Ken. Been using NAPA filters for the last 9 or 10 years without a problem.

Wix/NAPA, FleetGuard, Donaldson, they're all good. I wouldn't put a Fram on a lawnmower.
