I know this was mentioned awhile back, but now I am so glad that I bought this then a turkey fryer that uses oil. With the price of oil going up as mentioned on another post this will pay for itself in no time.

Good Thinking ! Let us know how it works out. We use a traditional turkey frier but mostly for steaming shrimp and lots of corn on the cob....and the occasional Fried Twinkie !!

I was (i think) the first to post about this cooker on here, and I still have it with me in the trailer and use it all of the time.
It's a little finicky with big turkeys or large cuts of meat, but not a deal-breaker.
There's no real temp control, but if I'm doing a good sized bird, I turn down the propane as much as possible without it going out, and remove the lid.
It cooks real hot, so it's fantastic for doing birds...the skin is incredible.
Good Luck with it!

Thank You as I might have bought one that used oil instead.
