Seems to me that folks are not noticing that the OP isn't just talking about a Cedar Creek, but a DAYDREAMER. There's a BIG difference between our Cedar Creek and our friends' Daydreamer.
Forget about the "regular" Cedar Creek and concentrate on the DAYDREAMER, please.
Tyro2u, if you're going to use your 5er in temp extremes, you better check insulation R values. My friend is from Mich and he snowbirds to Yuma and stops several places to see friends and relatives along the way. Sometimes he catches weather he would rather miss and one complaint is the poor insulation and he says his CC already has the extra insulation package. His other complain is, the cabinets keep coming apart. Also, get down and check out the frames under the CC and Carriages and you'll quickly see one of the reasons why the Carriage is heavier. Craig
