If I would of stayed married the first time.. I would have just celebrated my 31st anniversary... Thank Goodness for divorce court!

If I would of stayed married the second time.. Feb. 29th would of been my 7th anniversary but with 28 years (leap year day) {but, ok.. got my son from this one so it wasn't all a waste of time }

If I would of stayed married the third time.. 20 years.. and I probably would be dead... Did I say Thank Goodness for divorce court???

and now..... we will be celebrating our 6 years married - 9 years together on the 2nd of June... Sure wish I had of met him when we was in high school... would of saved me a lot of years of aches and pains! What a difference to be married to a partner and friend..

Hey.. it takes some of us a long time to learn that lesson... but, finally I did it

and now.. life is so good.. And -- we just became grandparents for the first time in December.. woo hoooo!!!!! I love being a gramma!!!!!

42 years last March. Couldn't get a divorce as neither one of us would agree to take the kids Now we have the Greys and neither will give them up It's always something isn't it? Guess we'll just have to stick it out another 42 years if she'll just keep putting up with me.

I was married once. For 13 years. The relationship was such H E double hockey sticks that that I swore off ever getting that little piece of paper again. The current lady I'm with is great and so is our relationship and we have been living together for 12 years now. She wants to get married. I don't and won't. Why mess up a great thing after all? We've bought a house, cars, 5er and survive together quite well with out that rediculous piece of paper. Getting married could change things for the worst and I don't see a reason to take that chance.

We will be married 28 years this August. We dated 6 years before we got married, so thats a total of 34 years!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW thats over half my life-----and we were also high school sweethearts!!!!

This has been the best 34 years of my life!!!! loving every minute of it

Springer1,
My story is kinda like yours, my DH followed a boy(Ricky) I was dating (also his friend) to my house one night and wouldn't leave until after Ricky left, and then wanted to come in and meet my parents???? I didnt even know his name? I went to introduce him to my parents and when I didnt know his name my Daddy said "whats his name" and he finally spoke up & said "Jimmie" WELL 34 years later he is still called "whats his name" LOL, and by the way he went home & told HIS Daddy that he was gonna marry me????? I guess he knew what he was talking about. He called my house the next day & I told my mom to tell him I wasnt home that I didnt want to talk to him, BUT she wouldnt lie for me, so I had to get on the phone and we've been talking ever since. Now I'm glad that she wouldnt lie.
