Today's RV fridges will withstand being up to 3° out of level in any direction. I try to keep within a half bubble. Good enough for me.

In this case you were lucky you did not come back and find a trailer burned to the ground. It is my understanding that this is what causes the refrigerator fires we have been reading about. When it is not level enough for the refrigerant to circulate the tubes overheat and rupture.
