I bought a 20# bottle for the little BBQ the other day. Not bad at $20 or so I thought.
So I took it to get propane in it and it had to be purged as a first time fill. $5 for that.
Propane was $3.99 per gallon plus tax!
Over $25 to have it purged and filled the first time.
Anyone remember propane for under a $1!!
Still has to be better than those little tanks. Priced them lately, they are getting expensive too.

I do, and I know propane is getting up there in cost to. We had to fill one of our tt tanks last week when we went camping and it was like $23 to fill it. It already had a couple of gallons left in the tank. Ouch!

Yep, at U-Haul in Fort Worth where we fill our tanks, propane is up over $4.00 a gallon. It's just like everything else, it's going up and up!

WRONG. The prices around the World are pretty steady. Think about it.
Propane is $3.20 at CA FlyingJ. For how long?
BTW the propane tank I bought at Costco was "prepurged" what I still consider a fraud, since nothing like that is technically necessary.
When I was remodeling my coach, I had the 60 gallons tank sitting with valve removed for couple of months. Than after new valve installetion I just filled it up and used. No problemo.

I bought a new propane grill from Wal-Mart about a month ago. It had been several years since I had purchased the last one I had. Never thought anything about it while shopping, bought one and got it home ready to put it together and discovered it did not come with a bottle.

They all used to come with a bottle !!! Boxed it back up and took it back and traded for YES, a more expensive one that had a bottle. Got the same hosing from the propane company to purge and fill the tank for the first time. The whole process just ruined the excitement of having a new grill...

If you think nobody cares, try missing a couple of payments.

A couple of years back when propane got to over $2 I said no more as we grill ALOT and was refilling the BBQ bottle once a month in the summer season.......I converted my Weber grill to run on natural gas.......I had to spend $30 on a hose and some fittings but that was money well spent.........

BTW.........any propane grill can be converted to NG.......

The last delivery of gas to the house was $3.17 per gallon.
But hey, I only took 167 gallons this time.
I also only do that twice a year.
And this grill is for the RV so I like the propane.

GEEZ! I have a place locally that will fill a 20# tank for about $13.

They should. It only holds about 4 gallons when full and that's still $4 per plus the taxes.
