Two of my favorite spots, but have never camped either. We have a T/C and are fully self-contained, so hook ups would not be a absolute necessity. State Park camp sites would be fine..
IF anyone has camped either of these two areas, any information about either of these places, would be appreciated!
Thanks in advance.....

I would stay at Mcdonald first over flathead.

Apgar campground in the National Park is right on Lake McDonald. There are great views of the mountains on the far side of the lake.

I have stayed at Apgar many times. It is very nice and is within walking distance of the village.
I have also stayed at the West Side State Park as an overnight campground while traveling from Glacier to Yellowstone.
Apgar is clearly my first choice.

My vote would be for Apgar also. It has been a few years, do they still rent the boats and fishing gear right there?
