Does anyone know how much the toll is on the loop around Denver?

From I-25 South of Denvr to the airport is $5.75... it's a rip off.

If you take E-470 from I-25 around to the East, and back to I-25, it will cost you $9.75. If you are towing, it will be $29.25 total for two additional axles, and $39.00 if you should have a three axle trailer.

Makes it worth considering taking I-25 straight through. If you need to do it during a weekday, between 9:00 am and 2:00 pm is the best time.

If you can drive I25 through Colorado Springs without a problem Denver will be about the same. Just don't hit it at rush hour and save your money for fuel.

It very hard to predict when there will be an accident on I25, when there is, it can be a long ride to get through town.

E-470 will get you from Lincoln Ave on the south to Co hwy 7 to the north, at constant 70 mph speed limit no stops. Worth it for me.

It cost us $18.00 for four axles for a 24 mile run.

So, did you think it was worth it?

I just can't bring myself to pay that kind of fee. I had a problem with two axles, and someone else was paying the toll.

A very good friend works for the E-470 Authority. He tells me that it is so expensive because before they can turn it over to the Colorado Dept of Trans, it must be paid for, and there must be enough in the bank to be able to maintain the road forever, just on the interest alone. Don't know if that is possible, but I think they are trying.

I will take I-25. I am retired, and not in that big a hurry to get anywhere.

Was that from I-70 to I-25 The north east section? On I-25 if you are in the middle lane on the north side you will be in the middle lane on the south side. Sometimes there are more lanes on your left or right. I have a hard time paying $6.00 at each toll booth when towing.

I use it if I'm going to be transiting during rush hour. Otherwise I-25 isn't too bad. Previous post on the fees is correct. It costs me close to $30 with the fifth wheel in tow.
