I grew up in Reedsport but left in 1961 so It has changed since I lived there. Winchester Bay and Lighthouse stae park is nice. Going north through Florence there is sealion caves. There is an elevator down to the cave now. When I was a kid we had to walk down the stairs. Just beyond the caves is Heceta Head lighthouse you can visit. South of town is the Oregon Dunes National recreation area. You can take a dune buggy ride or just enjoy the dunes. In town is a discovery center along the river. Going east there is an Elk herd and a place for viewing. I am sure there is probably more but there are a few ideas. Have a great trip anyway.

The Visitor Center on the north part of town will have a wealth of info for you. In addition to the above places, if you want to travel a little further, go south to Bandon and shop there. Also, Cape Blanco SP and light house is fantastic. Reedsport itself doesn't have much, but it is a good place from which to begin. If your car will handle it, don't hesitate to off-road it in the mountains, it will take your breath away with the views.

If you are camping "around" Reedsport you should look into staying at Winchester Bay RV Park. One of the nicest public (not private) RV parks anywhere. Beautiful place!

Seond that info on Winchester Bay. We have been to over 125 RV parks and it is certainly in the very top 5; even higher!

We stayed at Winchester Bay for a week last summer and loved it.
Here was the view from our campsite.

We went crabbing off the pier next to the park and caught our dinner several times. Had a ball.

Take a drive. The views are fantastic!

Boy, this is an easy one. Grab a handful of brochures when you get into town and take off south one day, north the next. Just keep doing that. If you're there two or three months you might narrow down the things to do.
