I guess I kept my finger on the trigger too long. I've asked the moderator to fix it. Nobody pays me any attention anyhoo.

Be sure to get to the beaches out of Coos Bay. Sunset Bay, Shore Acres, Cape Argo are fantastic.

North from Reedsport within 50 miles some great sights. First are the Oregon Dunes near Florence. Check out Honeyman SP and the national forest CG's there. Stop by the Darlingtonia State Wayside to see a rare fly-eating plant bog. Further to the north is some beautiful rugged coastline and the fabulous Cape Perpetua area. Finally, you will reach Newport and the Oregon Coast Aquarium.

To the south is the fabulous Sunset Bay/Shore Acres/Cape Arago area and then the beautiful town of Bandon. Keep widening the circle past 50 miles and you will find even more.

Umpqua River Lighthouse, and right next to it Lake Marie. Amazing Tai food in Winchester Bay. 8th Street Grill in Lakeside has the BEST hamburgers and everything is great. Willian Tugman State Park has a wonderful new playground for the kids. I love that area ----- have fun!!!!

We have stayed at Loon Lake http://www.loonlakerv.com/. You will often see deer and other animals walking around the property which the kids will love. Not too far away is the Dean Creek Elk Viewing Area http://www.loonlakerv.com/dean-creek-elk-viewing.html.
It is one of the more scenic RV resorts on the Oregon Coast and especially great if you are into the outdoors or watersports. They have jet ski, fishing, sport, and pontoon boat rentals http://www.loonlakerv.com/oregon-boat-jet-ski-rentals.html. Our family spent the afternoon each day on the waverunners and had a blast. While you are there, a good guide to some of the other activities in the area http://www.loonlakerv.com/activities.html.
