Gang,

Last year, thanks to you all, we learned that our batteries recharged while we towed our trailer.

Does this mean that we can also tow with the refrigerator on?

For sure you can. Mine converts to propane as soon as I unplug my shore power.

I hate mushy ice cream .... I leave mine on, but I have a really really long extension cord.

Absolutely. We always tow with our fridge on the gas setting. Just leave your propane tanks on and you'll be fine!

my fridge runs all summer i never shut down , i keep it stocked with steaks, beer,condiments,whatever!

not completely sure about the question, and how it relates to the batteries... you can run it to LP as already stated, but maybe you have a three way...
if so you could run it in 12V while towing, especially if it is already cold before leaving... I am not sure how fast the 12V would draw down the battery if you were stopped though...
I never had one with three way power so really know nothing about them...
