I read lots of info about the fridge needing to stay level for the liquid coolant to do its thing.
What if you are driving up a very long grade does this damage the fridge? What if you need to stop for groceries, and the only parking is on a slant?
Does the fridge life deteriorate if these circumstances arrive often?

Very unlikely you'd have any problems at all. It would have to be a very steep slant, and roads are never that steep.

We tow with fridge on LP also...
I believe the bouncing and movement of the RV under tow keeps the fridge's liquid coolant working properly even though its unlevel.

Exactly!! the chemicals slosh around when driving, therefore they never have time to settle in a bad way. It is ony when parked for long periods of time that the question of level comes into play.
And no, you don't have to get out the leveling devices for a quick stop at Wal Mart either..

Many advocate turning the refrigerator off when refueling....eliminates any chance of fumes being ignited by the refrigerator running. Personally...I think this depends on where the fridge is located, and how close it is to any gas pump in use. But...better safe than sorry.

I, too, run with the frig on LP but shut it down when refueling. Be aware, too, that some tunnels and ferry systems require that the propane be "off". The BC ferry system requires the propane be off and the containers tagged accordingly. Or at least they used to a couple of years ago.

Mine also has the auto-changeover between A/C and LP. Nice feature.
The fridge on my 34' trailer is always far enough away from the fuel pumps, so I just leave it on. It's usually windy enough anyway.

On my old camper, we ran mine on propane exclusively and ran it going down the road too. I did turn it off at the gas station though. On the camper before that one, the fridge could not be run while driving cause the pilot light would end up blowing out. I guess the venting on the outside fridge cover let too much air into the back of the fridge.

Tow with the refer on,just remember to shut it down before riding the Washington state ferries.The toll taker really goes ballistic when you forget and have to hold up the line to exit the TV to turn the gas off.
