I don't think you're going to get that one hooked up on your Freightliner. Freightliner uses a digital multiplex data system to display all the instruments except the air pressures. This means a lot of signals are sent along one wire and the instruments pick out the one they need and display it's value. If your GPS is like the ones I've seen, they are looking for a pulse signal from a drive shaft or transmission. I think there are ways to hook them up, but you need to install a pulse generator on the drive shaft with a magnetic pickup. Call your GPS Tech folks and talk to someone who knows. On some GPS's I've seen, not having that signal only means that the system cannot use the internal computer to calculate a position when the satellites are lost like in a tunnel. I'm not familiar with yours, so call the guys who made it and ask.

Then I guess the only option left is to call the Freightliner Help line and talk to one of the technicians. I'm not sure if the cruise control is on the digital bus, but maybe they can tell you. The only other way to go would be to go to the Access Freightliner pages and try to find the right wiring diagram page for your chassis. It can be done but my experience is that it takes a LONG time to find it.
I'm going to the Camp Freightliner program again in June. Last time I was there they had all the chassis wiring and air line schematics in the notebooks we got for the class. They were specifically run for our chassis VIN number. Have you been there yet? MUCH easier than the Internet.

Just got off the phone with Freightliner. They told me my unit came pre-wired for the GPS speed sensor - VSS wire under the dash. Harness BB2 white wire 497K. Will see if I can get it hooked up and will let you know if it works.
1-800-385-4357 and you need last six #s of vin.
Thanks

Cool. Glad you got it straight from the horse's mouth. Finding that puppy may be somewhat difficult, but if they say it's somewhere in there, it is.
I spent the better part of 2 weeks looking under the dash for the trailer brake plug on our Bus, and finally found it when a tech at Tiffin told me they put their own plug into it and use some of the circuits for their dash instrumentation.
Sort of like a treasure hunt.
Good luck, John
