I have two small jacks that are to be used to hold the slide out in. Has anyone ever used them or had a slide out come out while on the road? Do not know if I need to use them or not.

Some TTs have them, some don't,they are used usually on the hydraulic ones more than the screw type.

Do you use the Jacks to keep the slideout from extending while towing? Thats why you have them, in order to keep the slideout from extending while on the road. Be on the safe side and use them.

If they came with your TT, you need to use them.

Yep, I have one... it goes in at the top of the slide and holds it snug to the body of the TT.

The old TT (NASH) had 2 of them. I used them just because I had them. My new TT (Coachmen) didnt come with them. I say "If you have them use them, if not dont worry about them"

My trailer came with them as well. I have two slides on the Rockwood. Problem is that the locks are designed to be placed against a rather lightweight perimeter trim on the slides and also compresses the interior seal so that it is "pitted" . Big warning sticker, "do not overtighten as damage will occur to trim." Seems like more of a gamble to use the things than not. My slide are electric on a rack. They have never moved even slightly.

Just make sure you remove the jacks before trying to open the slide out. Or you will be on the roof putting the trim seal back on...first hand experience.
