We will be having an extended stay in the Orlando area this summer. Our main focus of activity will be between the Lake Mary and Oviedo areas.

I am looking for a rv park on the East or Northeast side that is fairly nice with full hookups.

Particularly I'm looking for something that offers monthly rates that are reasonable. I've found a few in the $450/mo range, and our local contacts say they look nice, however they seem to upcharge for kids. The one adds $5/night each for kids turning the $450 into $750/mo.

Any ideas please send them my way.

Thanks.

Highbanks Marina & RV Park in Debary? A little out of your territory but unique, on the St. Johns River, $400/mo plus elec. I don't think they charge for kids. Indoor pool.

That's a tough one. I live in the area you are describing and don't know of any campgrounds right in/around Oviedo.
The two best suggestions I have for you are:

1) Consider a campground in Sanford, I know there are two, Twelve Oaks on 46, and Town & Country on Orange Blvd.
2) Try the KOA on Highway 46 in Mims - I know it seems a ways out, but it's not really a bad drive into the Oviedo area. Depending on where you need to get to in the Oviedo area, it may be quicker than coming in from Sanford.

Hope that helps.

Try Wekiva Falls Resort. I work in Lake Mary and pass it everyday. It's right on the border of Lake/Orange county on hwy 46, so it's listed in Sorrento, FL. About 4 miles from I4. I haven't been there since I was a kid, but seems nice. They have weekly and monthly rates and about 800 sites.

Wekiva Springs SP is nice, but probably not for extended stays, plus very difficult to get into.
