Has anyone volunteered for Utah SP's? We would like info on your experience, the good and the bad. What amenities were there for volunteers, how was the staff, wi-fi or phone line, etc. Even if you haven't volunteered but have visited please tell us about your experience. Thanks!

We hosted for two months at Green River SP and loved it. The park is very small, only about 40 sites, and the hosts have FHU. There was no wifi or phone and limited things to do in the town itself. We got satellite TV and internet at the park. However, there is a LOT of sightseeing you can do within 50-75 miles, not to mention the sightseeing in the local area. An added bennie was that it is co-located with a golf course - not a great one, but a golf course nonetheless.
This is a SP where you should be able to survive on your own, without a great deal of supervision. This is not a destination, but rather a pass thru. I recommend it highly.
Thanks Dennis for the info. Green River was one of the parks we were interested in. Might just give them a call and see what's happening for next summer. We posted this questions on 3 forums and your reply was the only one we received. Can't believe that no one has been to this parks. Happy Travels
