Good Sunday morning to all from firedude's hot tin roof. Relocating to the valley to help my dad for a while following moms passing a couple months ago is becoming an adventure in itself. Another record breaking day expected here. Temps of 103 to 105! Unusual and more typical of July, Aug and Sept. Tomorrow is supposed to be the last of it as it begins a cool down thank God! By mid week and especially by next weekend the high will be in the upper 70’s to mid 80’s! ,maybe I can fire up 'ol Smokey Joe and have me a desperately needed steak lol! By then the night time lows are supposed to drop back down to the low 50’s near the 40’s! So for today it’s another hunker down day. Tomorrow I am picking up my dad and heading to the boys house for the day and a BBQ of some sorts. It’ll be nice to get out and will be good for dad. He’s been doing ok in the heat and keeping cool and staying inside like a good 81 y/o boy lol.
I knew it was too good to be true that I could even possibly think of escaping some of my genetically declined camping buddies. I take Shorty for her potty walk in a certain place. Well on the other side of the wall is a mobile home park and EVERYTIME I take her there is this lady on the other side looking over the all at me like that the neighbor in Tool Time with Tim Allen. Now keep in mind it’s 105 outside too! Now I’ve looked over there when not outside and she’s not there lol! Scary deal.
Now here’s the real scary part. My next door neighbors will be here a couple of months. They had a kitchen fire so they’re insurance company put them up here in a toy hauler here of all things. Never heard of that before AND they are not RV’ers. The bad part? They have a little weenie dog with ADD! The dog runs in circles and barks ALL day long. I mean ALL day. I don’t know how they can even handle it unless they are deaf. I talked to the park office yesterday and they had already received complaints so I simply said, please document mine. Not only this, but their entire family and friends are there constantly, Cars all over the place, parking in empty sites and all kinds of neat stuff. The guys sewer hose fell out of the pipe and I had to put it back in there and put a chunk of concrete over it to keep it there. I also noticed their black tank valve is open. I’m sure glad I saw the hose before someone used the restroom the next time! With the black tank valve open they are going to get the good old pyramid effect! Oh yeah their little boy by whom I think is also ADD runs constantly runs and jumps in the toy hauler and you can hear him pounding the floor even inside my rig with both A/C’s going! I at first thought t condenser on my roof top A/C was backfiring lmao! I think I’m going to go over to their house and rebuild the kitchen myself and get them out of here!!!!!!!!
I just can’t hide lol. If it weren’t bad enough to have to move back here to the Sahara Desert in order to help family I have to live next door to a dog with ADD! Help me Mr. Wizard!!!!!!!!!!!
Well with the heat still on and my Corgi with diarrhea for a week now and living next door to the mess I do it looks like a real nice Sunday ahead. Can’t wait to go to the boys tomorrow just for a break!! More later from the land of dogs with ADD!..........
I Think Terry and DianneOK can relate here. Well with all except maybe the dog with ADD LOL.

Oh man, can we relate Even with the dog with ADD We had a farm and wouldn't you know...our nearest neighbor who was a quarter mile away had a sheltie. The would leave him in an enclosed patio that was an echo chamber. As soon as they would leave, he would start barking....all day and half the night...non stop. I finally went over there and asked them about the dog. They said he was keeping the burglars out. I told them any self respecting, smart burglar would scope the place and know that when the dog was barking....they were gone They thought about that and got a bark collar......
The dog finally became a midnite snack for the local cougar. I was never so happy the cat was around......
I don't miss the 120* temps, for sure....90* here is a heat wave

Must be the season for MDS -mad dog syndrome-!
I've got one next to me that is bound and determined to rip to shreds their brand new TT every time the owners leave him alone in it and the barking just goes on and on.

Isn't the famous words from fulltimers "when you don't like the neighbors, we have wheels and can move." Sounds like it's time to move to another site or campground!

Unfortunately it doesn't apply this time. I'm here helping my dad following my moms passing a couple months ago and the choices are slim to none. Otherwise I would NOT be here lol! I reckon whatever price I have to pay to help pop is worth it to me. Normally your post would most definitely apply!!
Tony....my sympathies for your family. I cant relate on the dog/kid issue as I am sitting at Aces High campground in Connecticut. If they use workcampers here this is where you want to spend a season, I dam near cant see the other sites for all the grass between them. Lake, creek, trees and large sites, just beautiful. Hang in there, you will be back at "da beach" soon enough
