Hello,
Can anyone out there tell me if a 1997 Suzuki sidekick 2x2, two wheel drive with a standard transmission can be towed on a tow dolly? Does it have to go on backwards?

Simply put the front wheels of the Suzuki on the dolly, secure it, put the transmission in neutral, and pull away.

Bill if you can gain access to a manual it will be specific. I have to tow my 2002 auto Blazer backwards. Typically drive wheels are the ones on the tow dolly. I have a Nissan PU with a manual transmission BUT I can not tow it any speed/distance. I am glad I learned that before setting it up to tow 4 down.

you are assuming that it is FWD. from the OPs post, it sort of sounds to me like it is rear wheel drive???

It is a rear wheel drive and has been towed with four wheels down.

If it can be towed four down with no damage, it can be dolly towed with no problem, too.
What does the Owner's Manual say about "recreational towing"? The Book is the final authority!
