What's the best location on the 5er to check for level side to side. Brought my new 5er home yesterday from storage and checked for level on the kingpin and on the rear bumper. After placing boards under appropriate tires and bubble showing level, I extended slide out. Just to double check I placed level on counter and bubble was off. Where do you all place your level?
Thanks.

I put a 4' level on the floor in the middle of the trailer.

Did you put the rear stabilizer down before your extended the slider? If not, the weight of the slider hanging off the side of the fiver will cause it to list to that side by a small amount.

I think that on all RV's the goal is to get the refrigerator level and then to get the rest of the coach level. This is not as critical with the newer units but should be a consideration. That being said, a level placed on the floor (as stated above) is about as good as you can do.

I leveled out with a four foot level and then I put some stickers on the side of my rig by my landing gear switch. That way I know when I'm level right by my jacks. My other level is underneath.

I also place a level on the floor in the middle, which happens to be right where my entrance door is.

I level my kitchen counter top. Hard to make omelettes when that's out of whack. that makes it close enogh for the rest of the rig.

Sounds normal to me. Over many TTs and fifths, I've found that the floor, fridge and counter are not necessarily level at the same time. My choice has allways been to level the fridge and counter, splitting the difference if necessary.

I installed our level guage using a 4' level on the floor & it's right on. Always put your rear jacks down before putting the slide out. I find that I have to also go back & put a half turn or so on the off slide side jack after putting the slide out.

I put the level inside the door, level side to side, drop the landing gear, disconnect and level front to rear then lower the rear stabs.
