Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who posts on here and shares the knowledge. We took our first trip with our new Springdale 295 this weekend, went from Connecticut up to Lake George. Took us about 4 hours (8 mpg & a 5 year old said we had to stop for a few...). My TV, 2007 Ram 1500 Mega Cab Hemi, towed the trailer with no problem, pretty easy to keep 60-65mph the whole way, sometimes even more. When we got there everything went great - de-winterizing, the whole thing - the only thing I missed was the drain for the hot water heater, forgot that it was out, and was wondering why it took so long for it to fill Other than that, everything was great, and my wife actually thought I knew what I was talking about - all I was doing is repeating what I read....
Thanks,
Sean

Great job on the troubleshooting. If that plug is the only thing you ever forget, You will get the presidential award. Im sure EVERYONE on the forum has forgotten that plug, or the bypass valves, an open faucet, OR SOMETHING -- more than once. Glad you had fun. WELCOME TO THE FORUM and HAPPY CAMPING Tim

Yahoo! This was my second season with my HTT, the WD and several other new things! I forgot the process of putting the WD bars on. Was funny once I figured it out. De-winterizing was interesting too! A little more thinking involved than with the PUP! And I wouldn't go back for anything!

LOL! We did the same thing with our hot water heater on our first trip...luckily our experienced rv'r Fred was at the ready to figure out what we were doing wrong....course we emptied half our FW tank before we figured out the problem....

HA HA AWESOME!!! We too are newbies and looking forward to our first trip. We are heading to FL for our maiden voyage and we hope we are good enough to only forget a drain plug. Tell us more about your trip! And I hope I can impress my wife with my wealth of knowledge via this forum!!!
