My shower drain is giving me some problems, and I'm wondering how one might get under the shower tub to remove the trap if necessary. I'd also like to know if the bath sink drain might intersect that same pipe or does it have a seperate connection to the gray water tank? The shower drain is toward the side of the coach and appears to be in the location of the rear wheel wells, but surely there's a way to get to this.

Before you tear into the drain try making a hook out of wire and fish the hair out. I have had to do this many times both at home and the Motorhome. My daughter had long hair. and it would accumilate on the cross in the drain. Mind you never enough to see from the tub but fished it out and the drain ran better. Kinda like a stalagtite in a cave as the hair builds up and so does the soap scum and the like.

I hope this helps.

Same solution with ours. BTW, we have an access panel in bedroom wall. Have you looked in all nooks and crannies?

I had a problem with our previous MH. I picked up a plastic gizmo (I know, very technical term) at Lowe's. It has jagged edges and goes down the drain to grab all that nasty stuff that lives in there. Made about three passes with this thing and brought out lots of hair and junk. Drain worked fantastic after that. I keep it under the bathroom sink for periodic cleanouts.

Costs about $5. I believe it was called Zip Cleaner...

We have one of these too. Simple to use and it works pretty well.

I just got one the other day at Lowes. It was called a Zip-It and is less than three dollars now.

It worked great on my bathroom lavatory!! Saved at least 30 minutes of standing on my head in a tight space to get the drain tube containing the stopper raiser arm out so it could be cleaned.

Thanks for the info, I'll stop at the next Lowe's I see and will look further for the trap access, which I really think is important, especially if one should develop a leak under there. This coach is not too bad for accessible areas, so I would think that this would not be an exception, but then......and then I found it here in Van Horn Tx., just where Carvin Marvin said it was.
