Yes, you read the subject right. Our 07 Keystone Passport is still leaking. After the dealer had two attempts and the manufacturer had an attempt (they had it for two weeks in the state of Indiana and we're from PA), we are still having leaking issues. I called the manufacturer first thing this morning to tell them that I was done with this camper. I sent them electronic pictures, and am awaiting a phone call back as to what they are going to do.
The last time they "fixed" the camper they said that if it happened again that they would look at buying the camper back and helping us get into another one. So I am awaiting their call. If I don't hear by lunch I may consider calling my lawyer!
I have picked out a 2008 model, we are limited due to our tow vehicle and we can't afford to buy a new tow vehicle or have an increased loan since out first child is due in December.
So please keep your thoughts and prayers with us, hopefully this whole thing works out!

I was looking at your photos, and yes, what a nasty leak. I checked out the floor plan and it seems that it is entirely related to the slide out.. Is there any leak when it is closed? It's really sad that they connot fix this properly for you It is not brain surgury to make a simple slide out that doesn't leak. From your photos, it would appear that it is the slide itself that is leaking, and not the seal between the slide and the trailer. I say that because if it was only the seal leaking, it would show up on the floor around the slide instead of coming down from the top like it does. I would guess that they have misdiagnosed the problem as the main seal around the top. This would explain their inability to fix it.
Good luck getting this resolved to your satisfaction.
The leak is noticed mainly when the slide is IN. The camper has been sitting at our home for the last three weeks completely level with the slide IN and sure enough it is still leaking. It is definetely the slide. They did a TON of work to the slide and said they had "fixed" it and we should not have the problem again! Well guess who was wrong!
It is now 11:33 and the csr won't answer his phone, I get his voicemail. I just left a message. They were to get back to me with anything before lunch. Well so far nothing. I better hear from them before 2 pm today or it is not going to be pretty.
I am actually contacting a lawyer I used before for a matter and I am going to get his professional opinion on what to do.
With the slide in, it really comes down to one of two choices.. Either the top seal of the slide is not getting the job done (the slide is not closing properly or the sealing surfaces are not straight and true) or the roof is leaking.
My TT actually has a little (1 1/2") sort of "visor" over that top seal running the length of the slide to help keep rain off it as well as water that runs off from the roof. It is a simple device that helps the top seal do it's job. I am surprised that more slides do not have one.
Again, this seems like a fixable problem, but obviously, so far it has not been.. It is sad that you have had such aggrivation from something that should have been easily repaired correctly the first time.
There is a way to pressure test the trailer that would certainly identify the problem immediately. That should have been done long ago by the manufacturer or your dealer..
Some Manufacturers pressure test every unit before it leaves the factory, like Komfort.
I'm not sure, but now they need to do something fast! I am done with this camper. They need to replace the camper! I already have a 08 picked out at a dealer. They just need to call me back and get the ball rolling.
I'm obviously fed up with the situation all together, so now is the time to make it right.
This is a copy of my post to your other thread. I wasn't sure which thread would be the best one to ask you these questions.
Where is your leak in the slide? We just purchased an 08 Passort 280Bh and love everything about it! A couple of days ago I washed it for the first time and when I was done, I went inside and there was some water on the floor. It looked like it came in from where the slide was. Is that normal to get water inside while washing it? Do you need to be careful when rinsing with the hose around the slide? Thanks for any help.
I was also wondering if you could tell me the changes that they made from the 07 model to the 08 model?
I'm really sorry for all the trouble that you've been through. I hope Keystone takes care of you. Keep us posted.
We love to get away in our new TT

You just need to calm down. While I understand your frustrations, your threatening legal action will certainly cause the factory to withdraw any generous offer they have made about replacing your trailer. If you read your warranty, you will find their only obligation is to make repairs. There is no provision for consequential damages. They can just keep making attempts at repairing, and when your warranty runs out, they can claim they repaired it, it was fixed, and now needs a repair that is not covered by warranty. Then you are screwed.
Like it or not, you are at their mercy, so if I were you, I would be polite, appreciative and business like in your dealings with them.
Have you contacted your state's attorney general with an itemized listing of all of your camper's issues? We've also had numerous problems with our Passport, but supposedly no water damage and the leaking is fixed (hmmm...we'll see). We got a 4 month extension of our warranty, and believe you me, we're watching the camper like a hawk!!!! I have heard that Keystone has refunded the negative equity difference to let someone get a new camper without a monetary loss. Maybe you can request the same. Good luck to you. The above poster was right about keeping your cool. Ranting and raving, while justified on your part, will only make them want you to go away.
