Planning a June or July trip. Taking 18 and 15 yr. old daughters and want to keep them busy with trips, exploring, whale watching etc.. I want to do a lot of fishing as well. I've read alot of good things about Scusset Beach cg but would like full hookups. Do any of the cgs allow fires?

Scusset Beach is a great campground - I find it's very tough to get in. I was trying to make a reservation since January to get in during the summer and could only book for the weekend AFTER Labor Day (you can make reservations 6 months in advance). No fires allowed.
A lot of people like Bourne Campground. Right on the canal for your fishing needs! I believe it does allow fires. Agnes

We've used Shady Knolls for years now....they allow fires....at least last year they did....out by 11pm is the rule. Shady Knolls is in Brewster and is close to Crosby Beach (bay beach).....the sister to it is Atlantic Oaks, which is right on the Bike Trail....I believe is in Eastham. http://www.shadyknoll.com/ http://www.atlanticoaks.com/

Thank you for your input. I'm checking out each suggestion via internet and phone. Bourne has openings and would be great for fishing being right on the canal. Shady knoll and Atlantic Oaks sound very nice with the amenities but also sound pricey because we would have to pay $9.00 extra a night for our 18 yr. old daughter. Just does'nt seem right. Keep the suggestions coming.
Two others are Peters Pond in Sandwich, which is close to the canal, and Sweetwater Forest in Brewster which is Mid Cape. Since she is considered an extra adult by the campground you are going to have to pay extra for the 18 year old daughter. Keep in mind that the traffic can be very heavy during June, July and August so if you stay anywhere along the canal you are going to spend most of your time in heavy traffic if you want to see other parts of the Cape. By the way Sweetwater Forest is very convenient to the Cape Cod Rail Trail if your family is into biking.
If you're going to the end,(Provincetown), Coastal Acres isn't fancy and full of frills, but it's a 10 minute walk from downtown and a nice bike ride to the beaches. There is also a campground in Truro, but I've forgotten the name.
