Morning all.

Like none of YOU ever accidentally hit an elephant!

Class reunion weekend kicked off last night. Great to see old friends. Actual reunion is tonite.

Enjoying camping. Can't beat it. Scorcher.

Friends were at Billy Joels concert last night at Shea Stadium. His last concert at Shea as it's being torn down after this season. Handful of music legends on hand. Steven Tyler, Tony Bennett, among others. And, to end the concert, he turned the stage over to Sir Paul McCartney who last played Shea in the sixties with the Beatles. A priceless night.

I'm enjoying the heat wave. Love warm weather. Hope you're all having a nice weekend.

Jerry....You working tonite?
No Sir. Bil was at concert the other night and his wife went last night. Must have been an awesome show.Wish I could have gone. Where are you camping this weekend, McCaans?

Jim, just so you know I have been busy, I had a busy day today too, fixing my bedroom slide flashing. I never cease to marvel at some of the decisions the manufacturers make when they build these wonderful RVs. You make a motorhome out of fiberglass and aluminum so it holds up to the weather, and then install a piece of flashing at the bottom the slideout hole made out of what??? 1/16" STEEL!!! Right where it is exposed to all the elements and especially the water that drains off the slide. Yikes, what a rusty mess.

I tore this rusty piece of steel flashing out.

and had a replacement piece made out of galvanized steel.

After fitting it up into the opening, and painting it white to match the rest of the motorhome, I screwed and glued it into place.

Turned out pretty nice and looks a lot better, plus it won't rust!!

Well...that would have taken you all of ten minutes. What ELSE you been doin?

You're slowly rebuilding your MH, one piece at a time. Then, you'll trade it, when you get it just the way you'd like it to be.
