Hobo, I believe that Ryegal has gone into depression with the leaving of her grandbaby. Someone probably neds to go over and take her out for a glass of wine and lunch.

Anyone going to be down in the Westport area this weekend?

Went to Paradise Inn for the night and now I really know why we RV.The room was 8'(?) wide and 20' long with a double bed (hard and 1" pillow) and single(same) with the bath down the hall and a waiting line for the shower for $105.Oh and it was hot and stuffy and the window wouldn't open.. Dinner was expensive and kinda pre-prepared and not really tasty, not bad but not really good and did I mention kinda spendy..Service was really good though, the waiter was an older guy and funny..Wine selection was good, but overpriced and a bottle of micro brew was $6. Had a problem with them understanding that we had a party of 16 that wanted to sit at one table and not at 4 little ones. The only place for a group to sit together after dinner was in the lodge sitting room and there was a ranger program on the dangers of mountain climbing that was a bit wussy and they didn't appreciate others carrying on a conversation at the same time..I s'pose that I could have done that lecture,BUT,I've never been on top of Rainier.omly St Helens (7 times before the eruption),Adams (twice and once was on the day St Helens blew)Baker,Glacier and Olympus(once each)..Anyway,even the weather didn't co-operate as the thunder and clouds yesterday PM and RAIN ,clouds on the surface and lightning again this AM...
Man,I wish I had had my trailer...

Bigdog,
Are you saying dinner came out of a BOX?
Room only 8 feet wide by 20 feet long?
What in the world did they spend all that money on?
I had the thought that the food up there would be something very special.
For what you paid for I would be pissed.

Oh well Bigdog, that's what you get for being a cougar!!

Man, am I tired of this rain. Had an interesting Sunday - took in hempfest and that was quite an experience!! Wanted to find some hemp pants, but their sizes sure didn't correspond to what I thought it should be!! They must have sized them after having a few brownies!!

Not going to Westport, but we're leaving Thursday afternoon for Longbeach and the kite festival. Taking our soon to be 6 year old granddaughter down with us. Hope I can figure out how to get all of those funny strings untangled to fly my wing kite. May have to watch the video again!

Everyone keep dry.

Two weeks from last Saturday we'll be on our way to Minneapolis. First stop, Kennewick for the holiday weekend. Looks like we'll take five days from Kennewick to Minneapolis.

Wouldn't that be the same as saying a week from this Saturday? Have a safe and enjoyable trip. We're only going as far as Birch Bay for the holiday weekend. Didn't want to go to far since I won't get off work until later than I'd like to. Oh well, at least we're going somewhere.

I think that I have seen crab ravioli at Costco. The money was spent on the outside, the main lodge interior and the dining room and not on the room areas..Man,do you know how many nights I coulda been camping for that amount..But the rest of the family get together was awesome and worth it.My SIL who lives in Papua New Guinea is actually from Forks and had never been to the mountain..

Ok who's going where for the weekend???
Bigdog to Portland..(Tigard)
DavidG to Birch bay
Ahrens to Kennewick and beyond
Ron to Long Beach for a long weekend of trying to fly a kite..(Mebbee you should go smoke a pair of those pants and that might help..)

We're still in Dallas. Weather sucks. Rain and more rain. Supposedly the weather is suppose to get better for the weekend.

Hey, I could have scored some great bud for far less money than they were asking for the pants!!

If that's all would take to get rid of this rain and thunder, I should have!!

Will be home working on the nursery (babies room for pants smokers).
The holiday weekend we are dry camping in Packwood for the swap meet.
