John, Nikki, nice blog site we will be watching your progress.

Have you tried the Pass Port American Parks Program? We used those when going the approximate route you are and the parks were nice and half price. One of the states gave us 1/2 off Sunday thru Thursday in their state parks with PPA. We are also big WalMart campers, nothing like staying the night for free when you are just passing through. Although by the time we get done shopping, it probably would have been cheaper to find a park.

Linda...You have no idea how crowded this house is at this time. Kids are 1.5, 3, 4.5 and 7, keeps ole granpop hopping.

David, they are crazy races for vehicles that are human powered and have to be able to race on land, water and mud w/o changing any parts.. It's a wild and crazy party.I have seen the one in Corvallis, which is in conjunction with their renaisance Faire and it's huge and they have been doing it in Port Townsend for a number of years..Google it and you'll see what I mean..

Bob,we're not going to make it that weekend as we're going to Tahoe for a 90th b'day of Ryan's grandpa the weekend of the 19th and we have to BBsit the horse dog the weekend of the 4th of Oct.The horse dog is Collette's and Steve's and is a mix Lab and either austrailian shephard or heeler and is quite high amintainence. It hates water of any kind, except for drinking and won't even go out to do her thing if it's raining...No acciudents in the house tho..

If you have never been to the Kinetic race in Port Townsend, you really should do it one time. Even if you don't RV there, take a day trip and be there about 11 am. The race starts at noon I believe. You will bust your gut laughing at all the entries.

We will be up at Fort Worden but it will be the weekend prior to this event. We will have some cheesy bread sticks from the bakery for those of you who won't make it.

DavidG,

Got my new spring bars yesterday. I have them all greased and ready to go on our Chelan trip in the Morning. No cost to me.
My daughter called a while ago to tell her Mom about a cafe she found over there this summer. She said the food was some of the best she had in a long time.
Looks like it's going to be a great week end on both sides of the Mt.

Figured that's what the Kinetic races were...probably about as funny as the milk carton boat races.

Hobo,
Glad you got your new bars, and sorry I couldn't sell you my old ones.
