Hobo, I would come over for coffee this weekend but taking off for PacBeach for four days. Love the grandkids but can only take so much of them at any given time. Glad to know you got back safely with no problems. Chelan is always a favorite place in Sept when all the young kids have gone back to school and its not so crowded. We do like to leave the parks to the families in the summer.

Got back from the Reno Air Races yesterday and had a nice flight down there and back. Just a little smokey haze from the fires burning from the west.

Good crowd. More than I expected given the economy. Appeared to be the same number of pilots like us who decided to fly themselves done there. The FBO's raked it in big by charging us $25/night tie-down fees, even if you bought fuel there.

Let me know if you guys decide to have coffee in Fife. I'm just down the street and can steal away for a quick cup.

The stock market killed us yesterday! I may need to buy a tent trailer to camp in!!!!!!!!
Carol still has her cast on so we haven`t camped to much this summer. She gets it off next week and then she has to have therapy to learn to use her thumb again. It has been a long summer. Wish I were closer to come have coffee with you guys.

Tom, give Carol my best! We compared thumbs at the rally--her surgery's have been worse than mine since my rigid cast was only for 10 days, then the rigid splint for a lot longer. Hope she heals fast and therapy goes well.

The stockmarket has been a killer for sure, I have just quit looking at what my money is doing. I know it will go back up after the elctions so just holding on. I did cancel my new 45 Prevost though that I had on order

Hobo how about picking some week day other than the 24th or 30th and Sue and I will come over and meet you for coffee.

Kevin glad that you got back safely. I use to make those long flights and I would be looking down and thinking, "now just where am I going to set this puppy down when the rubberband breaks"? Married Sue and it was no longer a problem, she hates small planes. Flew her up to Rosario for dinner on a beautiful night and she informed me if she never did it again it would be to soon, the flight, not me and dinner.

We still have some empty slots to fill in our rally, we need to get more people looking at our stie insead of just chatting I guess. I am very guilty..

I think more people will sign up as the time gets closer. Many do not want to commit so far out--fuel prices, health issues, etc. Speaking of fuel--Safeway in salem had diesel at $3.99 today--that was the pump price. Dave had just filled in Stayton at $4.09 as they were dropping their price 10 cents. We're a little higher out here than Salem. that is the lowest we've seen diesel in ages. As I type Chrlie on ABC news said oil dropped to $91/barrel today.

Tom, if you're retired, what the heck are you doing with money in the stock market? You should have it in something a bit more stable and way less risky.

That's us, yes. Right now, we're on the list but we haven't made our reservations yet. I need to see what my money situation will be by then before I can commit.

Of course, there are those who say I should BE committed.....

Larua, I am getting ready to toss that big ole piece of Lamb you gave me on the BBQ Thursday. Any secrets to cooking it or for how long. Yours has been the best I have tasted.

The only day I can't go to coffee is the 30th of Sept. Any time
I thought it would be good for some one to go to camping world the day of coffee. Two things one trip.
If any one can make it just say the day. Where and when.
Bob and Sue can't come on the 24th and 30th.
Hobo
