If this is something that you are not going to have WW fix, I wonder if the DMV will hold next year registration.

I hope not... I wont be spending $300 is gas for $20 in stick on reflectors and side markers. I wanted to add more lights anyways.

One of the other posts commented on the requirement for 3 center lights in the rear and a side marker. My 07 LE already has those... Wonder what WW is adding...

If and when I get my notice. I'll right a nice fat RO on my trailer install needed parts and send an Invoice to WW for the campaign.

Betting it is that the trailers 30' and longer don't have intermediate side marker lamps and reflectors. Also, maybe the missing "conspicuity treatment" for greater than 80" width and 10,000 or greater GVWR requirement.

This link starting at page 24 gives the regulations with pictures from Truck Lite

Just my guess - and yes they will have to drill and pull wires to place the intermediate lighting in the proper place.

If these things are missing you could get stopped and cited in most states but the probability of this happening is low IMO.

Not really trying to defend or take sides here on the WW issue but....

Take a good look at all the big RV trailers >30'length, >10K GVWR, and > 80" width ---- Raptor, Fusion, Ragen, Attitude and et al...... out in the marketplace and you will notice that most of the manufactures are out of compliance on the section 108 lighting standards. Very few have the intermediate lights and reflectors and none of the 2008 trailers we looked at in the last 6 months had the "conspicuity treatment" as dictated by section 108. Nothing gets done about it until enough complaints get lodged with NHTSA against a model/manufacturer. Just the way our system works. All the RV manufacturers cut as many corners as possible to ensure profitability. Some are better at hiding it "out of sight" than others......

My guess, the lack of lighting on the sides. The new models have clearance lights in the fenders. Our 05 LE only has two side-lights. I think the backside is lit up enough.

We won't be able to schedule it to go in until after summer. It's at the river until September!

Just to add the facts of the letter sent to me!
Model Year 2001-2006 CL,FB,FK,FS,FT,LE,SL,SLC
Model Year 2001-2004 FBD
Model Year 2001-2003 SE,SP
Model Year 2004-2006 FSC,FX
These trailers fail to conform to the lighting requirement of FMVSS #108 "Lamps, Reflective Devices and Associated Equipment".

My FT is only 21 ft. so the intermediate side marker lamps are not required. My neighbor has a 2007 SL2805 and it has the same amount of lower rear lights as mine, so what are they going to add to a 2006?

Don't let this guy bother you T-Bone. Another "Hater".

All that anger will just eat him up in the end.

He was posting some hate in another thread. Hopefully he can learn to get past this anger issue he has with Weekend Warrior. If not, so be it. Life's too short to be so angry!

Just how does a company like WW design & build one of the more popular toy haulers and screw something as simple as this up??? This information is readily available for them BEFORE they design ANY trailer.

It just amazes me they are still in business and people are still ordering their stuff

It may show, but I have never been a fan of WW. No disrespect for those that have a WW either.

Gee Whiz why be so hateful you don't even own one..... so move along please nothing to see here I recieved one for my 06 FK just passed it on to the new owner

Nah....I think I will stick around.....Some of you WW owners need to mellow out and quit crying when someone doesn't like your brand. Don't take it so personal. For the most part, the complaints and attacks are against WW for not standing up to the plate, not the consumer. But then, a post like this comes around

That is what I was thinking the guy probably dosn't even own an RV. Just looking for a place to vent his frustrations with life in general. He sounds alot like a Sierra Club member ....LOL There is no amount of counciling that can cure that

I am surprised you guys didn't call me a "blue hair" too

You guys take life way too seriously and must have had a bad childhood to boot

I have never seen owners of any other brand get so bent out of shape as some WW owners here when people don't like their brand, like the 2 above
