After some dicussion within the group it looks like it's Unicoi State Park, just north of Helen, Ga, for the summer Ga'RVers ralley.I thought it best to start a fresh thread rather then rename the old one. Here is a link to the suggestions thread.
It has been advised that you make your reservations soon as the park fills up fast. I think there are 8 confirmed it this time.I'm not quite awake yet this morning so I'll have to try to make this post exciting a little later.
Our reservations are made.I booked the double site. If MicDuran comes she will book another site and we will either use half of our site for the group or put her next to us and use her site.
I also wanted to add that if the park fills up there is another park right up the road that could be used as overflow and everyone could still meet up for meals or activities.
Here is the list so far. I am not sure how long you can edit these but I will try to keep up with the list in this post.

I just talked to Pat over at Cherokee Rv Park. They are 3 miles up the road from Unicoi. They would be happy to have anyone that can't get a site in Unicoi. This is a very nice park that we stayed in last summer. They are in the process of redoing their website but I found a link to a park review that has their info on it. Don't let this discourage you from attending the rally. You will still be close enough to Unicoi for meals and activities and you will be able to have your own gatherings over there. If others book here we will be visiting both parks. We really want to meet all of the newer people in the group. Here is the link to Cherokee Rv Park

I'll break down and make the first food post also. Summertime means Country Style Pork Ribs to us. That's what we will be bringing for the main meal Saturday evening along with baked beans and corn on the cob. Yumm!! Don't feel that everyone needs to bring the same thing. It makes for a better meal if everyone makes different stuff and makes a little extra to share.I also have some cookers if anyone wants to deep fry anything.
I am going to recommend that everyone plan on bringing your grills to the main area for cooking so we are not stuck trying to pile food on a few grills. Of course you can always cook food at your own site and then just show up for dinner if that is what you choose to do.We will also need a few tables to set food on. I have one and I know MicDuran and EvilC each have one.

You can add "Gary and Teresa + 1 child" to the list also. They are not on this board, but are either staying with us at our site or getting their own, but they are coming.
I called the park again and just for confirmation, we will not be able to attempt to "group" ourselves. He said in order to group us, ALL of us that want to be grouped would need to pay in full up front, and whoever we designate would need to check us all in then put the signs on the posts AND make all of the sites look occupied. You can't just put the sign up and leave the site bare. "No saving". Or, we do the impossible and show up all together!! LOL!
He said they will put us in one of two areas at random: "Little Brook and Laurel Ridge". ALL of the seven "double buddy" sites are taken. There are 3 in Little Brook, 4 in Laurel Ridge. He said you will be told at check in which section you are to go to, based on site availability.
As of 5 minutes ago, there were 8-30' sites left, and 3-40' sites left.
We will also bring a table for the group meal use. Don't forget to bring some paper goods as well! I'm thinking we'll bring some potato salad and maybe hotdogs - at least the kids will like them!

As far as grouping,We should all be paid up front. I had to pay for mine when I made the reservation. I would recommend that any of us that can get there early check in for yourself and at least one other person that you either know or make arrangements with. Set up in your site and then throw a couple of chairs, a table and park your car in the other site. I have a tent and a shade tent that I can setup in a couple of sites.

I would make the reservation. I have never had a problem fitting into any sites that the park attendents said were to small.
