Hi all,
I just made a reservation for us at Odetah campground in CT for the end of the month. Looking at their rules ond FAQs on their website, I came across this paragraph, and was wondering if someone could tell me what a "grey water adapter" is:
"Graywater/Sewer
All water/electric sites have gray water systems for sink and shower water only. NO blackwater allowed. All guests must use a gray water adaptor with garden hose. NO sewer hoses allowed. Only full hook-up sites may use sewer hoses and dump blackwater. "
The site we are getting is water/electric only, no sewer as it is nearby our friends' seasonal site there - the full hookup sites are way on the other side of the park.
I poked around some of the online rv sites searching for "grey" and didn't come across anything specifically for grey water. Does anyone know what they mean, and do I have to get a special connector?
Thanks,
Sean

Im going there this weekend, and the adapter they are talking about is this one.

They probably sell it in thier store or you can pick one up at Wally world.
Have fun. Oh...and you may want to get an old hose to use. Grey water can get gross....so you dont want to use a good one.

The "grey water adapter" is a plastic piece that converts from the 4" sewer opening on the drain system of the trailer to a threaded garden hose fitting. (the so called male end). The 4inch side has the two ears for locking onto the pins of the trailer "sewer opening". I purchased mine at Walmart. You can screw your drain hose on to the threaded side. YES, defiinately use a garden hose (old one is OK),you don't want to use for anything else but "grey drain" as they do get "soapy and grose". Good luck and happy camping.

I'd be willing to bet that you can find a graywater adapter at the camp store at Odetah. If they don't have them, try a quick ride up I-395 to Highway Campers. Its about 15-20 minutes.
These adapters are about $5, I actually convinced my dealership to give me one when I was picking up my trailer. Hey, atleast I got something ''free'' out of the deal!
What site at Odetah? We camped there for many weekends each year up until about 2 years ago.
