The toad will pretty well track behind the Motor home but you will have to make sure you don't cut corners too sharp especially where there is a median. You need to go back to making those square corners they taught you in drivers ed.
Since you are not supposed to back up with a tow bar ( I am not aware of any that say it's okay) you will need to take a close look at a service station before you enter it to make sure you can get back out.
I always err on the side of caution and will pass up a questionable one and go on down the road. Have sometimes gone off and on the freeway two or three times before I found a station with the pumps parallel to the building or far enough from the building.
It's like driving a motor home - it seems worse than it is really is. You will get the hang of it pretty quickly.

Full Timing in a 2004 Winnebago Sightseer 35N, Workhorse chassis, Honda Accord toad
I might just take a drive by the CW and the Carmax Dealer near by tomorrow, and see if it moves me to take a dive into the toad experience 'before' take off.
Thank you for the advice. I've copied them and printed them out for referenece.
It's been said time and time again, but BOY is this forum great for information on a hobby......that doesn't come with a manual.

Yep - I can bungee almost anything to almost anything else. Gotta love these complex RV pre-flight checklists people write. I'm all...duct tape? Check. Bungees? Check. Tarp tie-downs? Check. Ratchet tie-downs? Check. Whatever else I forgot that flies off, falls off, or shakes loose, I got it covered so let's roll.
How did you work the deal with the bike hauler and the tow bar together?

I do have a little scooter, but you'll be surprised just how much room odds 'n ends and groceries really take. I am getting ready to buy a car!
When DW and I got married we took off in a bus I converted myself for a couple years with just a motorcycle. You get to be a real expert with bungie cords when a mc is all you have to get everything home But I will admit that when we finally settled the first thing we did was get a car
Get a toad! We started without one and had to depend on friends who did, to haul us around for our outings. Last August we bought our Wrangler and set it up to take with us. Best thing we ever spent money on. We stop for a week or two, maybe a month and have the Jeep to do our daily activities in. As the commercial says, "don't leave home with out it".

The Hydralift raises the bike up and then the car connect to the trailer hitch under it. Check out www.hydralift-usa.com or you can see our setup at www.jandse.com click the link to 2007, that's our current setup.
